"HAWKER 800, Jet Charter Flights!"

hawker 800, nbaa, national business aviation association
The Hawker 800 is a mid-size twin-engine corporate aircraft. It is a development of the British Aerospace BAe 125, and was assembled by Hawker Beechcraft.

The 125-800 series would become a sales success. From the first BAe 125 flight in August 1961 it took nineteen years until the 500th airframe was sold.

In 1994 Raytheon (who hold bought Beech Aircraft Corporation in 1980) acquired Corporate Jets. The new entity being known as Raytheon Aircraft.

In March 2007, Raytheon Aircraft Company was sold to Hawker Beechcraft Corp., a company formed and controlled by GS Capital Partners and Onex Partners of Canada.

The Hawker 850XP, which was certified for operation in March 2006. The 850XP is identical to the 800XP except that it includes winglets, which have extended its operating range by 100 nautical miles (190 km).

This version also incorporates upgraded avionics and a redesigned interior.

The Hawker 850XP essentially fills the gap left behind by the Hawker 1000 when production of that aircraft ceased.

Blended Winglets are available for immediate retrofit on the Hawker 800 and 800XP. In effect, this creates two exciting new models: the 800SP (Special Performance) and 800XP2.

Blended Winglets cut fuel consumption by up to 7%, increasing your range by up to 180 nautical miles. This enables you to fly nonstop across the U.S.

The system features patented High Aspect Ratio Blended Winglets. This winglet geometry is selected to achieve near ideal flow characteristics, particularly in the interface between wing and winglet.

The system features an actual four foot overall wingspan increase.

With added wingspan in combination with the Blended Winglets, the airplane climbs higher and faster and flies further than the standard Hawker 800 series aircraft.

The program includes removal of the large fences from the wing and replacement with vortilons thereby reducing drag, preserving favorable low speed performance, and resulting in a very clean look.

The launch of the Raytheon Hawker 800XP extended performance mid-size business jet was announced in 1995.

The aircraft is in service both as a business / VIP jet and also in special mission versions.

The XP is the upgrade from the Hawker 800, it features upgrated engine, enhanced aerodynamics, increased weight and system upgrades.

There were 475 produced in 10 years. The aircraft is powered by two AlliedSignal TFE731-5BR engines which produce 4,660 Lbs of thrust at takeoff.

The risk all of us in aviation focus on is flying safety, and that is paramount.

But there is another major risk to consider, and that is the chance that a new design will not actually be an improvement.

That's why evolutionary airplanes have enjoyed such success, and none more so than the Hawker 125 line of business jets that traces its roots back to 1962.e

It has winglets to add range and climb performance, and an advanced Collins Pro Line 21 cockpit.

The Hawker 800 Private Jet delivers more of what pilots and passengers have loved about the airplane for 44 years, and the improvements are risk free.

The Hawker is joining a growing line of jets to sprout winglets, and they all have the same objective - to make the wing behave as though it were longer.
