"WESTWIND 2 Private Jet, Information!"

The ten-passenger Westwind I was produced in 1972 with a stretched fuselage. In 1980, IAI announced a second go-around, the Westwind II, with redesigned wings and the addition of winglets.

The Westwind II’s winglets are its most notable improvement. Positioned atop the tiptanks (while most aircraft substitute one for the other).

The usual winglet design was proven to be more effective and improved the lift-to-drag ratio.

Another improvement the Westwind II has over its predecessor is what IAI refers to as its Sigma wing, a recontoured wing that holds 1.5 more fuel.

This allows for a higher takeoff weight (500 additional pounds to 23,500 lbs); reaches a 2,000 feet higher initial cruise range; and increases range by five percent.

Due to these modifications, the Westwind II enjoys greater operating weights and improved hot-and-high performance evidenced by the aforementioned numbers.

The Westwi…

"Nextant 400XTi, Information!

So far, Nextant has converted more than 40 Beechjet/Hawker 400s and delivered them to owners in eight countries since certification of the upgrades in 2011.

The Nextant 400XTi sells for $5.15 million.

The airframe is valued at $995,000, so that would be deducted from the price if an owner brought a Beechjet/Hawker 400 for conversion.

The performance improvements include a 50-percent range extension, 30 percent lower operating costs and 20 to 25 percent less fuel burn.

Although Textron Aviation’s Hawker Beechcraft Services has developed the Beechjet/Hawker 400XPR upgrade program, it differs in one major aspect from the Nextant version.

The new composite cabin shell by Jeff Bonner R&D takes advantage of space within the fuselage structure that the existing interior didn’t use.

It adds three inches of width and 2.5 inches of height. N2Aero insulation reduces cabin noise by nine decibels, to 66 dB.

LEARJET 31A, Information!

However, after Bombardier acquired Learjet in 1990, the improved Model 31A was introduced.

The new aircraft featured Honeywell avionics, including a five-tube Bendix EFS-50, a Bendix/King KFC-3100 autopilot, and Bendix Series III radios, plus a Universal UNS-1M flight management system.

Other features included electric windshield deicing, digital nosewheel steering, and a new rudder boost system.

The Learjet 31A received FAA certification in July 1991 and entered service two months later.

A new interior with increased headroom was introduced in 1995, and in 2000 the Learjet 31A’s takeoff and landing weights were increased.

A full-authority digital engine control was added, along with two-zone climate controls. Thrust reversers became standard equipment.

Numerous aftermarket enhancements have been developed for the Learjet 31/31A. Two of the most popular are Raisbeck’s aft fuselage locker and its ZR Lite package.

HAWKER 400XPR, Information

Hawker 400XPR upgrade combines new jet performance and efficiency with the unequaled value of a pre-owned aircraft.

As you might expect, the Williams engines are unique to the 400XPR.

They are optimized with the specifics of the Hawker 400XPR in mind.

The competition has chosen a less capable, less powerful engine, which for many mission profiles is actually less efficient.

The 400XPR engines fly higher, faster, and more efficiently. They also reduce operating costs for the Hawker by providing a much longer time between overhauls.

The story of the Hawker 400XPR is one of performance, efficiency, capability and value.

It begins with the value created by the addition of genuine Hawker winglets and new Williams International high-efficiency, high-power engines.

What makes the Hawker 400XPR winglets unique is that they have been designed and engineered by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Beechcraft and i…

"CITATION M2, Information!"

The M2 is a brilliant recasting of the Citations Light Jets with a great air-frame with the latest quality-of-life upgrades.

On the outside, you can tell instantly that it’s an M2 and not a straight CJ thanks to the new wingtip extensions that are too subtle to be called “winglets.”

Inside M2 there are changes galore. Turn right upon entry through the classic CJ door, and you see the completely redesigned cabin.

Cessna Aircraft, the oldest member of the Textron Aviation family, is rebounding as a result of streamlined manufacturing processes, supply chain cost controls and expedited development of new products.

The biggest challenge was to win back market share by bringing new aircraft to market while keeping tight reins on development costs.

"Citation Jet Cabin"

In some cases Cessna’s competitors have tried, with limited success, to create an alternative vision of the light jet paradigm that Cessna seems to have both invented and perfected.

That original Citation Jet was a wonder. At a top cruise speed of 380 knots, it was between 30 and 40 knots faster than its predecessor, and it was lighter while having similar payload numbers.

Today the CJ lineup includes three airplanes, the CJ2+, the CJ3 and the flagship CJ4. The derivatives started coming in 2000, when Cessna delivered the first CJ1.

"CITATION BRAVO, Information!"

"The CITATION BRAVO" has many features that sets it apart from the competition is its comfort.

The Citation Bravo Private Jet was the last incarnation of the very successful Citation II.

It has upgraded landing gear and avionics and new quieter engines that brought an increase in performance, range and fuel economy.

The Cessna Citation Bravo light business jet entered service in 1997. The Bravo, a development of the Citation II, flies to an altitude of 13,216m (45,000ft) and carries up to seven passengers.

The family of Citation aircraft has continuously expanded and the Bravo is one of nine models of aircraft in the Citation business jet range.

Citation business jets range from the four-passenger Citation Mustang, which flies to an altitude of 12,497m (41,000ft) to the eight-passenger Citation X, which flies to an altitude of 15,545m (51,000ft). More than 5,000 Citation jets have been…

"Citation CJ1 Plus, Information!"

The third-generation Citation Jet, built from mid-2005 to late 2010, has FADEC-equipped engines with slightly more thrust, increased operating weights and an upgraded interior compared to the CJ1.

Cessna only built 102 CJ1+ (s.n. 525-0600 to -0701) because the Great Recession, along with fierce competition from the larger and less expensive Embraer Phenom 100, forced it out of production.

On the pre-owned market, the aircraft now sells for $2.0 million to $3.0 million, or more, depending upon the year, usage and condition.

Typically equipped, these aircraft can carry four occupants 1,300 nm at high-speed cruise and land with 100-nm NBAA IFR reserves.

"The Citation CJ2+: Information!"

The Cessna Citation CJ2+, the second-generation CJ2 intro–duced in 2005, is one of the most successful models in the CE525 CitationJet line-up.

More than 200 CE525A-plus airplanes now are in service and operators say it has more in common with the $1 million-plus more-expensive CJ3 than the original CJ2 that made its debut in late 2000.

Even the two instrument panels and avionics suites are virtually identical except for some standard equipment on the CJ3 that's optional on the CJ2+.

That's within 1 min. of the CJ3's time to climb to FL 450. The original CJ2's climb performance also was significantly more degraded by warm day outside air temperatures than that of the CJ2+.

The newer aircraft's climb performance is all the more impressive because it has a 125-lb. heavier MTOW.

And the CJ2+ has slightly shorter takeoff field length distances than the CJ2, plus better seco…
