The CITATION JET began an extremely successful line of Jet Aircraft. The first "Citation Jet" garnered 53 orders just two days after it was announced at a private jet exhibition.
"The Citation Jet" and previous Citations had used a straight wing, which slows the "Private Aircraft" considerably but dramatically reduces production and design costs.
The CITATION JET is ideal for small companies and individuals looking for an economical private jet for short-range missions, usually a little over an hour.
"The Cessna Citation Jet upgraded to a natural laminar flow wing, taking four years to design in a joint venture between Cessna and NASA.

The Citation Jet is a good choice because it has increased speed, due to the reduced drag on the wings, is augmented by the speed provided by two Williams/Rolls-Royce FJ44-1A engines.
The Cesnna Citation Jet has safety as a top priority for Cessna when designing and manufacturing aircraft.
Everything from simple flying procedures to many standard emergency systems help to prevent errors and make handling simple and smooth. At 2500 per hour and up.
The CITATION JET is designed both to react effectively to dangerous situations and to avoid them altogether.
Combining both active and passive safety features ensures that every new aircraft is designed and equipped to deliver on the trust that passengers place in both pilot and machine every single flight.
Citation Jet interiors typically are configured for five passengers, with one sideways-facing seat at the front of cabin and four club seats behind it. Baggage can be stored in the nose, aft cabin, and tail cone.
It is an amazing blend of speed, range and space; it is the perfect light business jet to get you to your destination in style. The Citation Jet start’s at $2,800 per hour and up. The Citation Jet. https://centraljetcharter.com/citation-jet.html

The Citation Jet Family is one of the best-selling light jets ever built and with good reason.
These light jets can easily maneuver its way into smaller airports, but it has the feel that you are flying on a midsize.
The cabin has plenty of space and can carry more luggage than other light jets.
Advantages of the system include fuel savings, extended range, increased useful load, improved climb rate, and better short-field performance.

The system includes two 10.4-inch primary flight displays, a 12-inch multi-function display, a Class B terrain awareness and warning system, and dual integrated attitude and heading reference systems.
Other features include electronic charts, data link weather, and optional synthetic vision technology.
The Garmin system, which replaces the original Honeywell SPZ-5000, saves almost 100 pounds of weight.
Williams/Rolls Royce used to produce engines for cruise missiles, and was able to produce engines that generated 1,900 pounds of thrust each, while being aerodynamic and light enough for the CJ.
